Dr. Michael Sidebotham, Principal
Mike Sidebotham has been the principal at Grafton Village since 2007. Prior to coming to GVES, he served as assistant principal at Garrisonville Elementary and taught at Stafford Elementary. Born and raised in Ohio, Mike earned his Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Bowling Green State University. He moved to Virginia to begin his teaching career and later earned his Master's degree in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mike notes that he loves working at Grafton Village because of the excellent staff and wonderful students and supportive families. Mike lives in Stafford with his wife, Becca, children, Helena and Cameron, and pets, Charlie, Maggie, and Squeaky.
Ms. Sarah Stinson, Assistant Principal
We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Sarah Stinson as the new Assistant Principal of Grafton Village Elementary School! Ms. Stinson brings over two decades of experience in education, joining us from Spotsylvania Schools, where she served as an elementary educator and instructional specialist. Her dedication to excellence in education earned her recognition as a finalist for Teacher of the Year for the division.
Ms. Stinson’s academic journey reflects her commitment to lifelong learning. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Richmond, a Master of Education from the University of Mary Washington, and a Master of Administration and Supervision from the College of William and Mary.
Ms. Stinson is passionate about creating a supportive and engaging environment for students and staff. Her expertise and enthusiasm for learning make her a perfect fit for the Grafton Village family.
